Every year, IOE publishes a detailed booklet containing information about the online exam form, entry requirements, selection process for admission, fee structure, curriculum, and more. (https://entrance.ioe.edu.np/Notice)

Here, we’d like to provide you some information that will save you from any possible problems during your journey to IOE.

Before exam

• Please read the IOE booklet.

• The exam form is available online @ https://entrance.ioe.edu.np/ in the period of last to Ashad to Mid Shrawan.

• The earlier you fill the form, the more choices you have for the date and shift of exam.

• The exam form charges you Nrs. 2000/-

• Passport-size color-photographs, Citizenship certificate, grade-sheets of 11^th & SEE are required for the exam form.

• The online form is self-explanatory. It is not recommended to pay to some cyber for the form. Instead, you can contact us for the help.

• After filling the form, your Admit Card will be published within few days in https://entrance.ioe.edu.np/. Download it and color-print it.

• On the day of your exam do not forget to bring:

  • Any one of :citizenship certificate, passport, driving license card, grade 12^th Admit card

  • Scientific calculator (non-programmable). Allowed calculators include: Casio 991EX Classwiz, Casio 991ES, Casio 911W.

  • Stationery (Since only one A4 paper is provided for scratch work, it is suggested you take pencil and eraser with you)

During exam

• The exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT) of duration 2 hrs.

• It is conducted in the ICT building of Pulchowk Campus. (You may also visit the location prior to you exam date)

After exam

• The result will be published withing 3 to 6 days after the last exam date.

• Get your score card from the site: https://entrance.ioe.edu.np/ and color-print it.

• Now, you’ll get to choose the branch/subject (i.e. civil, computer). The procedure is

  • The charge for each subject is NRs. 300/- It is to be paid through special deposit slip for IOE from Siddhartha Bank (any branch).
    • If you've three priorities (1st - computer, 2nd - electronics, 3rd - architecture), then you will have to pay NRs. 900/-
  • Then in the website, you will be allowed to choose your priorities.
  • After few days, the first admission list will be published. Now, you have another chance to change your subject (if you didn't get seat for you chosen priority).

• For admission, you are required submit your notarized documents: citizenship certificate’s photocopy, transcript/ grade sheets of 11&12, character certificates from school and +2 college.

• Be informed about quota system (refer IOE booklet).
