Our blogs are meant to inform, inspire and ignite the minds of the students though unique blogs covering a huge array of topics.
Just see
You must answer 100 questions in 120 minutes, out of which 60 are of 1 mark and 40 are of 2 marks.
So mathematically you have 0.857 minutes (50 seconds) for 1-mark questions each and 1.714 minutes (100 seconds) for 2-marks questions each.
Marks wise time distribution of subjects occurs as:
Subject |
Marks |
Time |
Mathematics |
50 |
42.86 |
Physics |
45 |
38.57 |
Chemistry |
25 |
21.43 |
English |
20 |
17.14 |
But this is not how we really use time during exam. Generally, Mathematics requires lesser time and Physics requires more time than as in table. Time usage pattern usually occurs as in following pattern (but it is not mandatory).
Physics > Mathematics > Chemistry > English
During Examination
Taking these tips into consideration, try solving some mock exams and test series. Practicing enough mock exams can help you discover your own pattern of problem solving and time management.
Before examination
Before examination, we must be fully prepared for Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and some chapters of English. Some chapters of English include:
Conditional sentences
Question Tags
Sentences Types and Transformation
Voice
Transformation
Tense and Aspect
Infinitives and Gerund
Subject Verb Agreement
These chapters are mentioned here as you can answer questions from these chapters by knowing some formulas and patterns. Studying chapters like vocabulary, preposition, passages are not fruitful. You can study the general pattern for solving the questions of phonetics and stress but it is not necessary that you fully go deep into it.
Main priority must be given to Physics and Mathematics. You shouldn’t always go with shortcuts and tricks. You need to understand the main idea of the chapters. Questions are mostly asked to test your concept regarding the subject matter. First you understand the subject matter then you can create your own shortcuts.
